Audi e Tron Sportback: An Electric SUV With A Charming Design

Audi e Tron Sportback: An Electric SUV With A Charming Design

Audi-e-Tron-Sportback

Audi revealed, as expected, its e Tron electric SUV Sportback. A four-door coupe with a charming look marked by an octagonal grille with horizontal slats, a muscular body and a roofline that drops "abruptly to the rear" of the vehicle.

In short, this zero-emission vehicle has a lot to offer from a purely aesthetic standpoint.

This SUV has a 60-liter front trunk and a total luggage capacity of 615 liters. The vehicle also features 20-inch wheels, sport-tuned air suspension, and optional virtual outside mirrors.

EMPHASIS ON AERODYNAMICS

Audi-e-Tron-aerodynamics

The firm from across the Rhine insists on the presence of Matrix LED digital headlights, a high-end technology present from the first level of finish.

The press release published by the German group states: Their light is broken down into tiny pixels and illuminates the road in high resolution.

The German group also praises the aerodynamics of its product, which has a direct impact on range.

"Approximately 10 kilometers of this increased range compared to the e-Tron can be attributed to the vehicle body, the more favorable aerodynamics," says Audi

The range, in fact, is 446 kilometers according to the WLTP approval cycle, thanks to a battery with 95 kWh of gross energy (86.5 kWh of net energy).

On the power side, the double asynchronous electric motor has a total power of 265 kW (360 hp) and a torque of 561 Nm.

The result: the e-Tron Sportback is capable of reaching top speeds of 200 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.6 seconds, or 5.7 thanks to a "boost" mode that is active for just eight seconds.

All these figures are to the credit of the most powerful of the versions, the 55 Quattro.

The second version, soberly called 50 Quattro, has a power output of 230 kW (313 hp) and a torque of 540 Nm.

Maximum speed: 190 km/h. Acceleration time: 6.8 seconds. Its battery provides 71 kWh of gross energy (64.7 kWh of net energy), giving it a shorter range of 347 kilometers.

This is a relatively short range for a station wagon that is normally designed to cover medium and long distances.

TRIPLE SCREEN

Audi-e-Tron-interior

At the dawn of the 2020 vintage, Audi logically plays the card of modernity and connectivity.

Its teams have thus implemented the "MMI touch response" operating system within its double screen located between the driver and the front passenger. "When the finger actuates a function, a haptic and acoustic confirmation is triggered," he explains.

The passenger compartment is equipped with a 12.1-inch touch screen at the top to "control infotainment, telephony, navigation, and dedicated e-Tron settings", while the lower 8.6-inch screen "allows text entry and management of comfort functions and temperature control".

A third 12.3-inch screen (1920 x 720-pixel resolution) as a digital instrument panel invites itself in front of the driver.

To top it all off, Alexa Voice Assistant will give users the opportunity to manage certain features with their voice alone. "The service provides access to more than 80,000 Alexa commands," Audi said.

The service provides access to more than 80,000 Alexa commands," said Audi. "And a final touch of connectivity is provided by the Audi connect digital key, supported by the myAudi mobile application.

CHEAPER COMPETITION

In addition to its compatibility with the e-Tron Charging Service, which provides "access to almost 120,000 public charging points in 21 European countries", this zero-emission SUV can be charged on direct current up to 150 kW (120 kW for the 50 Quattro version).

This means that 80% of energy can be recovered within 30 minutes. Alternatively, the 11 kW alternating current public stations can be used.

Finally, the final offer consists of thirteen body tents, a limited edition "edition one" (plasma blue color) and a basic version available for pre-order at the end of November 2019, before deliveries start in spring 2020.

The press release indicates German prices: 71,350 euros. This is an onerous cost compared to its future competitors: the Tesla Model Y and the Ford Mustang Mach E, for example, will cost 58,000 and 48,990 euros, respectively.

Autonomous vehicle: what are the differences between the levels of autonomy?

Autonomous vehicle: what are the differences between the levels of autonomy?

Autonomous-vehicle

Driving assistance, autonomous piloting systems, 100% autonomous cars... What is behind these terms and what are the different levels of autonomy?

Would you be willing to let your car handle everything for you?

Today, virtually all mobility stakeholders, and many more, have focused on autonomous vehicles.

Tesla, the PSA group, Renault, Google Waymo, Mercedes, Uber, Volvo... all are working on car autonomy, even if some car manufacturers have had to revise their roadmaps recently and redirect research and investment funds in this area to other sectors, such as energy transition.

Legislation has never really been very clear on autonomous vehicles. There was often confusion between autopilot and autonomous piloting.

Autopilot is still a very advanced driver assistance system, but it cannot do without a human driver. The opposite is true of autonomous driving, which must be able to do without a human presence.

Defining what human drivers and autonomous systems can and cannot do

In 2014, SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) International, a professional organization of scientists and engineers, proposed a grid for understanding and classifying autonomous vehicles.

This grid is the basis for the classification into categories, defining what human drivers and autonomous systems can and cannot do.

It also serves as a reference for manufacturers and governments who regularly address the various issues related to the mobilities of the future, mobilities that are sometimes directly related to autonomous systems.

The International Organisation of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) has also defined a European scale with six levels of vehicle autonomy, a system similar to the one designed by the SAE.

LEVEL 0: NO AUTONOMY OR ASSISTANCE

As the name implies, it is the zero level of autonomy and assistance.

Understand that the entire driving part is done by the driver, without any help from the car. Here, there is no cruise control, no automatic emergency braking or even lane-keeping assistance.

The small light indicating an engine defect or a fault in your engine oil level cannot be considered as assistance but as a warning of danger.

LEVEL 1: AUTOMATION OF CERTAIN FUNCTIONS

This is generally what we find on the majority of our cars today.

The driver is obviously present 100% of the time and the car is not supposed to make any decisions "alone". Among these aids, we can mention cruise control or automatic emergency braking.

We can also take as an example assistances that seem "normal" today, such as the anti-lock braking system (ABS) or the programmed electro-stabilizer (ESP), two assistances that are now mandatory for all new cars.

LEVEL 2: AUTOMATION OF COMBINED FUNCTIONS

Mercedes-EQC

This is the level that tends to be democratized on all our modern cars.

Even if the legislator does not allow it, which is why cars regularly tell you to put your hands on the steering wheel when you don't, you can theoretically let go of the controls for a few seconds and let the car do its work.

Of course, the driver must keep an eye on his environment so that he can quickly regain control if a problem occurs.

Level 2 allows the car to manage acceleration and braking, for example with adaptive cruise control.

This is combined with lane-keeping and tracking, as is the case with a Mercedes-Benz EQC or an Audi e-Tron, for example.

The car knows how to move on its own, but is not aware of the entire environment around it. Other functions include the famous "Park Assist", which is now present in many vehicles and allows the car to park by itself.

LEVEL 3: LIMITED AUTONOMOUS DRIVING

That's where we can really start talking about an autonomous vehicle.

Cars are able to read and analyze their environment, allowing them to take actions according to their evolution.

Level 3 indicates that the driver must be able to regain control of the vehicle at any time, but that the car is perfectly autonomous under certain conditions, on motorways for example.

Today, some production cars oscillate between levels 2 and 3. This is notably the case of Tesla, which, just a few years ago, offered a very convincing automatic driving system, but today unfortunately constrained by the legislator's standards that force the brand to revise its copy.

Nevertheless, at Tesla, the car uses cameras and radars to understand its environment and apprehend the dangers.

It can accelerate if you activate your blinker to overtake, decelerate to maintain safe distances while keeping an eye on other road users.

At the moment, due to legislation, Tesla's are still below level 2 range, but they do check a few boxes on level 3. The Californian company claims to be ready when level 3 of autonomy is legalized and democratized.

LEVEL 4: ALMOST COMPLETE AUTONOMY

The vehicle performs the entire driving task completely autonomously, i.e. without even the necessary presence of a driver on board.

The system is responsible for all the actions that it will perform, in particular concerning maneuvers or its decisions according to the evolution of the environment.

On motorways, the vehicle must be able, for example, to exit the motorway and stop alone at a rest area. We can also take the example of the "City Park Full Automatic" feature, which allows the vehicle to park in a line or in a battle without a driver.

LEVEL 5: FULL AUTONOMY

Tesla

The vehicle combines absolutely all driving tasks and is not subject to any human intervention. Whether it is on the motorway or in the city center, it is capable of driving in total autonomy.

All the big companies are working on this, like Google for example and its famous Google Car, or Uber. There is not even a steering wheel anymore, it is the car that makes all the right decisions without human intervention.

If it wants to, it can even ignore a human order if artificial intelligence thinks it is dangerous.

WHEN WILL 100% AUTONOMOUS CARS ARRIVE?

Waymo

Certainly not for tomorrow, as we read all over the place a few years ago.

While manufacturers are generally well advanced in this respect, it is the legislator who will have the last word. There are still a lot of parameters to be taken into account, and the range of a vehicle depends not only on the vehicle itself but also on the surrounding environment.

For example, cities will also have to be connected in order to smooth traffic flow or to send information to autonomous vehicles.

We have also recently noted a slight decline in interest from car manufacturers in vehicle autonomy, especially since some short-term issues are more important, such as those related to the energy transition.

The budget dedicated to research and development of autonomous cars has had to be cut in some cases and transferred to other sectors, such as electric powertrains or batteries.

Some manufacturers are also delegating these activities to companies specializing in new technologies.

This is the case of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance, which has joined forces with Waymo, a company owned by Google, to assess market opportunities and to work together to provide a commercial, legal and regulatory framework for autonomous automobiles in France and Japan.

AutoFlip, Google's Algorithm That Automatically Reframes Your Videos

AutoFlip, Google's Algorithm That Automatically Reframes Your Videos

AutoFlip-Google

Google is currently working on an algorithm -AutoFlip - capable of automatically cropping your videos for display in portrait or landscape format.

Until a few years ago, filming with your smartphone upright was a matter of taste. All videos filmed for display on a TV or computer screen had to adopt a 16:9 or 4:3 ratio for a landscape format display.

On a smartphone, this required the user to rotate the screen so that the image occupies all the space reserved for the display.

Since then, social networks have gone through this and vertical video recording has become the norm on mobile platforms. This makes it difficult for content creators to find the best compromise for their videos to be displayed correctly on all media.

An algorithm that automates cropping on the subject

To adapt a landscape-ratio video to a portrait display, the classic method is to apply cropping to an area of the video. However, the results are rarely satisfactory, especially when a subject is moving, or when the video has several shots.

Content creators have no choice but to crop frame by frame for each frame, making the task horribly tedious.

Google may have found a solution. Thanks to an algorithm its engineers are currently working on, it will soon be possible to crop landscape video at will for portrait display.

AutoFlip, that's its name, is an open-source application base that relies on the learning machine to analyze the content of a video and develop an optimal tracking and cropping strategy.

It automatically detects scene changes and can isolate the main subjects of the video (faces, animals, moving people, etc.).

Once the subjects are identified in each frame of the video, AutoFlip implements its cropping strategy.

Depending on the objects and movements in each scene, the cropping area automatically moves to follow the subject.

Depending on individual needs, the tool can be set up, for example, to maintain the display of all detected faces in the image.

The algorithm will then automatically fill in the missing areas in portrait videos. It will also allow videographers to shoot a single video and then edit it in any format, switching from portrait to landscape or vice versa.

For now, Google continues to develop AutoFlip internally, but since the project is open source, the Mountain View firm relies on developers and content creators to help improve it.

Moreover, this project is already available on Github.

Google Pixel 4a: Release Date, Data Sheet

Google Pixel 4a: Release Date, Data Sheet

 Google-Pixel-4a

Launched last year with Pixel 3a and 3a XL, Google's mid-range was photo efficient but could lack a little something for gaming and performance, Google would have decided to give more power for the upcoming Pixel 4a and 4a XL

As we already know, Google will be holding its annual Google I/O conference on May 12

For the firm, this should be an opportunity to present its main software innovations for the coming year, but also to officially unveil its new smartphones.

Google should indeed, as last year, take advantage of the Google I/O 2020 to officialize its mid-range smartphones, the Google Pixel 4a

A smartphone that has already been seen thanks to the publication of 3D renderings by OnLeaks at the end of December. This time, some features of the smartphone have been unveiled by the XDA Developers website.

The site has indeed discovered elements of code indicating that the Google Pixel 4a is known internally as "Sunfish". However, XDA Developers had discovered in late January that Sunfish was a smartphone equipped with the Snapdragon 730 chip.

Logically, the Pixel 4a should, therefore, be equipped with Qualcomm's mid-range SoC.

A Chip 30% More Powerful Than The Pixel 3A Chip

Pixel-4a

This should be a big performance boost for Pixel 4a compared to Pixel 3a launched last year. The latter was only equipped with a Snapdragon 670 chip.

The Snapdragon 730, which is also found on the Samsung Galaxy A80 or Xiaomi Mi 9T, is indeed a fairly powerful chip that does not lack fluidity in everyday life and also allows us to play comfortably mobile games, including 3D games.

Between the Snapdragon 670 and the 730, we can see a performance gain of 33% on AnTuTu and 29% on 3DMark.

However, as XDA Developers points out, this also means that Pixel 4a should not be 5G compatible.

We should know more about Google Pixel 4a when it is officially announced. It should take place on May 12, in a little more than three months, when the Google I/O opens.

Google Pixel 5: the leaks season is open

Google Pixel 5: the leaks season is open

Pixel-5
Pixel 5 XL probably made wrong by Frontpage Tech

In a comment from AOSP (the open-source branch of Android), a developer already mentions Pixel 5.

Get ready to see the leaks around Pixel 5! While we are still waiting for Pixel 4a, which should logically be presented at the Google I/O 2020 on May 12, the first elements around Google Pixel 5 are already starting to be mentioned online.

"I DIDN'T GET A CHANCE TO TEST ON PIXEL 5."

The information was spotted by 9to5Google as a commentary on a piece of code from AOSP, the open-source code of Android.

One of the developers explains that the commented feature prevents the system image from booting on a Pixel 4 with a [Linux] 4.14 kernel. He goes on to say that he "didn't have the chance to test on a Pixel 5 with [the kernel] 4.19".

So there is now no doubt that Google is currently working on Pixel 5 and that some in-house developers can already try out some features on prototypes.

A First Step For The Suite

Aside from the existence of Pixel 5, which was in very little doubt, this first developer quote could well launch the leaky season for Google's future smartphone, which is not expected to be official until next fall.

Indeed, remember that the many leaks are rarely voluntary and that they are usually errors or leaks from people who have had the product in their hands or at least some elements.

Knowing that some developers already have a working prototype available suggests that other elements could leak quickly.

Rumors Are Not Always True

However, beware of the rumors that can be found on the Web. Recently, a rendering of a supposed Pixel 5 has been published, but it has very little credibility.

We are therefore looking forward to having more credible elements, such as a rendering by OnLeaks for example.

Unfortunately, the coronavirus in China could well delay the production of the smartphone - as is the case for the iPhone, among others - and thus the next leaks.

Best Forex Brokers: Forex Trading

The foreign exchange market is the currency market, also known as the Forex or foreign exchange market.

Every one of us who has traveled abroad is familiar with the foreign exchange market: in this market one currency is exchanged for another: dollar for euro, Swiss franc for euro, Japanese yen for the dollar, and so on.

Currency-Market-Traders

Forex Broker: Traders Prefer the Foreign Exchange Market

Apart from exchanging currency for tourist reasons, the forex currency market can be used to speculate on currency exchange rate fluctuations.

The Forex market is often referred to as an online investment, as forex traders bet on different currency pairs in order to make money online through trading.

In this article, we will do a forex explanation, the definition of the foreign exchange market, the functioning of exchange rates, and online forex trading.

Foreign Exchange Market

What is the currency market? The currency market is a stock market where currency pairs are traded. Also called "Forex Exchange", the currency market brings together players who wish to exchange one currency for another according to their needs.

In the currency market, currencies are exchanged according to market prices: IDB and ASK (supply and demand). Quotations are Over-The-Counter or OTC.

Currency pairs are quoted in pairs: on the foreign exchange market one currency is converted into another.

For example, the euro-dollar rate of 1.0850 means that to buy one euro you have to pay 1.0850 dollars. The price of the exchange rate always means the same thing: how many units of the second currency you have to pay to buy one unit of the first currency:

Exchange rate USDJPY 111.211 - to buy one dollar you have to pay 111.211 Japanese yen.

Exchange rate GBPUSD 1.25043 - to buy one pound sterling you have to pay 1.25043 US dollars.

 forex trading: Currency Market Traders

Market-Traders

The players in the foreign exchange market are:
  • Central Banks
  • investment funds
  • Forex Brokers
  • Banks
  • individuals
  • large multinationals

forex market: the advantages of the foreign exchange market

To speculate in forex or to hedge in the foreign exchange market, it is best to first understand its characteristics and specifics.

The foreign exchange market is the largest market in the world, with the highest liquidity. The currency exchange trades in real time any kind of world currency. Exchange rates are variable for most currencies, which generates interest from investors.

Forex liquidity and large volumes in the foreign exchange market

In the international economy, millions of transactions involving currencies take place every day.

When a European exporter buys raw materials denominated in dollars, he has to convert euros to pay the bill.

Most central banks regulate the exchange rates of their currencies: for example, the SNB closely monitors the exchange rate of the Swiss franc. To do this, it intervenes in the money and forex markets.

This is because there are a large number of players in the current money market, which results in large transaction volumes.

If you are looking for a market to speculate on the exchange rate, forex is the solution to your investment strategy. The functioning of the foreign exchange market allows trading on a large number of exchange rates.

Here are the 8 most liquid and traded currencies in the world:
  1. US Dollars (USD),
  2. The Euro (EUR)
  3. The pound sterling (GBP)
  4. Japanese Yen (JPY)
  5. The Swiss franc (CHF)
  6. The Australian Dollar (AUD)
  7. The Canadian dollar (CAD)
  8. The New Zealand Dollar (NZD)

Forex explanation - Variable exchange rates and volatility

During the day, the value of one currency relative to another can vary according to supply and demand, influenced by economic, social, or political factors.

In general, the exchange rate reflects the economic conditions in both countries. Frequent currency fluctuations are given in the foreign exchange market and represent the potential profit for a foreign exchange trader.

The more volatile the currency pairs are, the more interesting it is to make scalping, high-frequency trading and other short-term forex trading strategies work. The interbank foreign exchange market is one of the most volatile markets in the world.

Volatility can play tricks on you, especially if you trade forex with leverage: your gains and losses are multiplied by the forex leverage.

Foreign exchange market with reduced fees

The costs on the international currency markets are quite low: for example, the spread (the difference between the purchase price and the selling price) is 1.2 points on the euro-dollar. This means that to buy a 100,000 euro contract, the trader will pay 12 US dollars.

The value of the spread, in this case, is therefore 12 USD, calculated according to the following formula: the spread value of the point.

In percentage terms, these fees are very competitive! The spread is the difference between the purchase price and the sale price and represents the cost of the transaction.

The spread is debited from your position when the order is opened. This is why forex orders are initially negative when opening the position on the current exchange rate.

Foreign Exchange Currency Exchange: Leverage, Spread and Forex Contract Size

The foreign exchange money market is the market in which the most leverage is used.

Leverage is a multiplier of gains and losses. For example leverage of 1:500 means that for every 1 euro invested, the forex broker adds 500 euros and you can invest a position 500 times larger than your initial capital.

Many traders consider very attractive leverage offered by online brokers

Yes, leverage is a useful tool if it is used well, but you should be aware that this kind of stock market investment is risky. Profits or losses are magnified and can be considerable.

Imagine that you have just managed to close a position on the euro-dollar exchange rate with a volume of 1 lot. You gain 50 pips. Your account is in US dollars.

How much did you win? The calculation is very simple: 10 dollars is the value of the point on a euro-dollar contract * 50 pips won = your dollar win is 500 US dollars.

Most online brokers don't charge commissions on forex if the client pays spreads.

On ECN or No Dealing Desk accounts customers pay interbank spreads and for the online broker a commission.

The fee depends on the type of trading account you choose.

Forex contracts have a standard size: 100,000 units. The currency of the forex contract is the first currency of the currency pair. Here are the contract sizes:
  • 1 lot EURUSD = 100,000
  • 1 lot GBPUSD = 100 000 pounds sterling
  • 1 contract USDJPY = 100,000 US dollars
  • 1 AUDCAD contract = 100,000 Australian dollars

How to trade currencies in 3 steps:

Now that you've mastered the basics, we'll take a look at how to trade the currency market.
  1. Choose a currency pair
  2. Analyze the market - identify the trend in the currency market
  3. Open the exchange rate position
You understand that the purpose of Forex trading is the conversion of one currency into another currency, in other words, you buy one currency and sell another at the same time.

Most traders prefer only the most popular pairs, but you can trade any combination of currencies if you have enough money in your account.

Market research and analysis is the basis of currency trading. Without rigorous technical or fundamental analysis, you are trading confused and emotionally influenced.

You should know that in this case, the end is not very happy.

We advise you to trade currency rates responsibly and before making a decision, take into account short and long term charts, identify trends, see what the indicators say, mathematics, understand the economic climate, check the news, and published economic indicators. Create your trading plan and follow it!

Purchase euro-dollar rate

Identify the most likely direction, the optimal point of entry into the market at the right time.

Buy EURUSD (long position):
  • Price: 1.3249 / 1.3250
  • Account balance: $500
  • Lever 1: 100
  • Volume: 0,1 lot
Without leverage you need 1.3250 x $10000 = $13250. In margin trading, all you need is $132.50 in your account (locked-in margin). 1 pip is equal to a $1 profit or loss.

Later, the price reaches 1.3300 / 1.3301 and you decide to close your position and take your gains.

     The difference between opening and closing is 1.3300-1.3250 = 0.0050 or 50 points. The payout is 50 x 1 = $50 or $10,000 (1.3300-1.3250) = $50.

     Account balance after the closing position is $500 + 50 = $550

Sale euro-dollar rate (short position):
  • Price: 1.3249 / 1.3250
  • Account balance: $500
  • Lever 1: 100
  • Volume: 0,1 lot
Without leverage you need 1.3249 x $10000 = $13.249. In margin trading, all you need is $132.49 in your account (locked-in margin). 1 pip is equal to a $1 profit or loss. Later, the price reaches 1.3268 / 1.3269 and you decide to close your position and take your winnings.

     The difference between the opening and closing price is 1.3269-1.3249 = 0.0020 or 20 points. The resulting loss is 20 x 1 = $20 or $10,000 (1.3300-1.3250) = $20.
The account balance after the closing position becomes 500-20 = $480.

Foreign exchange risk management

As you have noticed in the example above, Forex trading can be extremely risky. As with any risky activity, the level of profit observed is directly proportional to the risk!

Fortunately, there are different methods of controlling and minimizing risk:
  • Identifying the price at which you exit the position if the unfavorable development
  • Protects your stop orders to minimize losses and take to profit orders to maximize profit
  • Adjust the volume so that any loss does not exceed 2-3% of your trading account.
  • The report assesses the risk/reward (loss/profit) and decides whether the transaction is justified:
Risk/Reward = (Entry Price - Exit Price and Stop Loss) / (Target Pursued or Take Profit - Entry Price)

You have to understand that the best traders in the world also have negative trades.

Remember, it is important to win a lot when you are right and lose as little as possible when you are wrong! To improve your foreign exchange trading skills, feel free to test your strategies on a demo account.

Forex is accessible to everyone with the possibility of opening an account from as little as €200 and thanks to the leverage effects made available to individuals who wish to trade and take advantage of opportunities in the currency market to make profits.

Forex is also a very volatile and liquid market with large movements and easy position taking thanks to high liquidity.

However, successful forex traders are still rare, which raises the question of what is their recipe for successful forex trading?

Observe good money management

It is indeed a crucial element, even in times of loss or error on your part because the human factor is always a variable to take into account.

Good money management and risk control can help you control your losses.

Example: if you always risk 10€ per trade and you keep the winning positions to have bigger gains, you can start to develop a long term winning strategy.

The risk/return ratio is equally important for the health of your account and for an effective trading strategy.

Have good management of emotions and discipline to all tests

Using good money management helps you here to stay the course and continue your trading activity even in the darkest hours.

Nevertheless, the psychology of the trader is a fundamental element of his success. You have to be disciplined!

For example, you should be able to take a new position on the forex even if the last 6 positions have been lost, in fact, you should even be enthusiastic about taking the next trade because it is most likely the next one that will be the right one.

Diversify

It is indeed necessary to know how to diversify your investments or trading strategies in order to successfully speculate on the forex.

This offers you a balanced and potentially a multiplication of your profits while making your investments more secure.

For example, You can develop a range strategy and a trend strategy to meet both market conditions and take advantage of any opportunities and balance your trading.

Follow the price action

All traders who have successfully speculated on the forex and even other markets agree that the most important thing when it comes to technical analysis is to follow the price first.

Indicators play an important role but come second to the movement of the stock price on your charts.

Consider the economic calendar

It is also important to know the underlying fundamentals that could change or strengthen market conditions.

The economic calendar then plays an important role in your understanding of the market environment and allows you to better control your risk in the face of sometimes violent economic events.
