iPhone 12 (2020) : release date, price, datasheet, leaks, everything you need to know

If the iPhone 12 looks like this, it's going to be a hit

iPhone-12

The iPhone 12 should be available this year in three models, which should be launched in September, probably at prices very close to those of the iPhone 11. Release date, price, technical specifications, here is all we know at this stage of the next iPhone.

iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro: we may know almost everything about Apple's future smartphones

The most eagerly awaited smartphone of the year, the iPhone 12 has fans on their feet. Who will completely crack if Apple releases this fabulous model...

The iPhone 11, Pro, and Pro Max had been a disappointment at first: Apple didn't know how to make us dream with new technologies ahead of the market.

The iPhone 11 generation was a technological catch-up on Android competition that has become much stronger.

The iPhone 11 seemed destined to lead the class in as many categories as possible (screen, photo, battery life, biometrics, software support...). And from this point of view, it was rather a success.

The iPhone 12 generation is now set to transform the trial - and hopefully, it will popularize new technologies like 5G. In this dossier, we've gathered together the latest news and rumors about this smartphone.

When does the iPhone 12 come out?

Every year Apple launches new iPhones at an event in September. It is therefore likely that the iPhone 12 will be launched in September 2020, perhaps at the end of the first or second week of the month. They will be on the market about ten days later.

How much will the iPhone 12 cost?

iphone12-2020

The XS generation was the first for which Apple launched three smartphones, including the cheaper iPhone XR (€859), the iPhone XS (€1159), and the iPhone XS Max (€1259).

With the iPhone 11, Apple once again launched three smartphones: the iPhone 11 (€809), and the iPhone 11 Pro (€1159) and iPhone 11  Pro Max (€1259).

Over two generations, the price of the cheapest version has dropped by €50, while the price of the most expensive iPhone has remained exactly the same.

Therefore, we can expect Apple to offer the iPhone 12 trio at about the same price as the last two iPhone generations. With perhaps, the icing on the cake, a slight price drop on the cheapest model.

What will be the datasheet of the iPhone 12?

Some rumors are starting to accumulate around the technical specifications of the future iPhone of 2020. One thing is certain: like every new generation, it will have a new homemade SoC.

It is also expected to have significantly improved photo sensors and to make further progress in terms of battery capacity and battery life.

SoC A14

We're starting to know some details about the SoC A14 that these iPhones should carry. Apple has entrusted the manufacture to the founder TSMC.

These chips will be the first on a consumer product to be engraved in 5 nm using the FinFET EUV (TSMC) process.

For now, we don't know much more about these SoCs, except for the projections of a journalist Jason Cross who calculated that they could have 15 billion transistors compared to 8.5 billion on the previous generation, and a Geekbench score that is similar to that of the entry-level MacBook Pro (if such a thing exists).

Improved photosensors

Apple should improve its photosensors again this year. But precise information is still missing at this stage.

The latest rumors speak of a clear improvement in depth-of-field detection - a must-have feature, for example, in Portrait modes as well as for generating a precise blur around a subject, the famous Bokeh effect.

The smartphone could carry a 3D laser sensor, or some other type of component capable of creating an accurate depth-of-field map, on its back.

In addition, whatever its sensors and optics, the smartphone should benefit from better image processing thanks to its new SoC, which is expected to be muscular.

It could take more pictures at a time when the shutter release is triggered, and use this increased number of shots to generate brighter, more detailed pictures depending on the situation.

From this perspective, real-time image processing could also benefit movie shooting, with on-the-fly image quality effects and reprocessing.

iPhone 12 a better autonomy

iphone-12

We saw it with the iPhone 11 Pro Max: Apple has made significant progress in terms of autonomy. And it is likely that the manufacturer is focusing its efforts on this point again.

All the more so as its SoC A14 is engraved in 5 nm and potentially has many more transistors than the previous generation - no doubt a sign of improved energy management, which will also result in increased autonomy.

Will the iPhone 12 finally make the notch disappear?

One thing is for sure: iPhone 12s will benefit from improved screens. The whole question is how much they will be, and what that means for the rest of the datasheet.

Size changes

According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the next iPhone will have slightly larger or smaller screen sizes than the iPhone 11 generation.

Thus, the iPhone 12 Pro Max would have a 6.7″ screen (compared to 6.5″ on the iPhone 11 Pro Max) and the iPhone 12 Pro would have a 5.45″ screen (compared to 5.8″ on the iPhone 11 Pro).

OLED for all

A persistent noise evokes the abandonment of LCD technology on the three models of the iPhone 12. The iPhone 11 (neither Pro nor Pro Max) has an IPS LCD screen, unlike the other models.

A way to lower production costs. It remains to be seen whether Apple will be able to offer the cheapest iPhone 12 with an OLED screen at the same price as the iPhone 11.

New 120 Hz display

At least one of the iPhone 12 models should have a 120 Hz screen - instead of the 60 Hz refresh rate on current models. Apple was one of the first to introduce 120Hz screens on its iPad Pro as early as 2015.

Until now, the firm has been reluctant to integrate such a screen into an iPhone, while many Android competitors have done so on gaming-oriented smartphones.

Knowing Apple's power in mobile gaming, it would seem surprising that the firm doesn't finally take the plunge. A higher refresh rate means smoother movements and a reduced response time, which can be a plus in some games.

Notch or borderless?

Finally, one of the questions that will come upon this screen the most - until we finally get the answer - is "will it have a notch? ». Apple had popularized the notch by launching its iPhone X in 2017.

This cut-out at the top of the screen was until now a necessary evil for integrating advanced sensors like Face ID's on the front panel in smartphones whose edges melt like a skin of sorrow.

But in a short period of time, technology has evolved. So much so that it has become possible to integrate a fingerprint sensor underneath screens. But it doesn't stop there: Several manufacturers have shown prototypes of photosensors that are also hidden under the floor.

The dream of a rectangle completely covered by a screen is now becoming reality. It remains to be seen whether Apple will be one of the pioneers or take the train.

Will the iPhone 12 have Face ID or Touch ID?

That is, as we write this, the $1 billion question. Apple has touted its Face ID facial recognition technology as the most convenient and secure way to unlock your smartphone. Even more so than the Touch ID fingerprint sensor.

Rumors point to two possibilities. In the first scenario, Face ID would be completely replaced by a fingerprint reader under the screen.

But other rumors suggest a much smaller Face ID device, which could fit into a redesigned notch, be hidden in the border, or even go entirely under the screen.

It's not impossible, by the way, that Apple has taken two approaches: one for the cheapest iPhone 12, and the other for the iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max.

Will the iPhone 12 be 5G compatible?

Apple missed the 5G mark in 2019 - and was probably not wrong to do so, given that the technology is finally available, at this stage, in only a few countries and coverage areas.

Nevertheless, it is likely that the company will offer 5G connectivity on at least one or even two of the three models. In fact, several reports have even been read that anticipate 5G compatibility on all three iPhone 12 variants.

According to the latest information available, Apple would use the Snapdragon X55 modem to access these networks.

What does the design of the iPhone 12 look like?

Apple usually changes its design every two generations.

So we can expect the fundamentals introduced in generation 11 to remain the same. The backs of the most expensive devices should be covered with frosted glass, except for the logo (shiny glass) and the photosensor finish, which is also shiny.

The chassis of these cameras should be made of stainless steel again this year. There will be a new, attractive blue-purple color.

Some people imagine a flat chassis in the style of the latest iPad Pro, but again, such a radical change seems unlikely since the iPhone 11 had already changed its design.

Click here for the Last Update: 05/18/2020

In the end, the only thing that should visually differentiate the previous generation smartphone will be new colors and the possible disappearance of the notch, which remains to be confirmed.

Qled vs Oled, best buy TVs: Samsung vs LG TV

Qled vs Oled, best buy TVs: Samsung vs LG TV

Qled-vs-Oled

The IHS Markit analysis firm has just published a report that almost pushes the doors open: Qled televisions are more sold than Oled models. This is forgetting that Oled production is limited and that all the tiles are sold out.

IHS Markit has just published a study announcing that Qled televisions sold better than their Oled counterparts during the 2019 financial year.

Samsung and its partners, who also offer Qled TVs (TCL, Hisense and soon OnePlus), are expected to sell around 5.45 million Qled TVs in 2019, while Oled TV manufacturers (LG, Sony, Panasonic, Philips, and others) are expected to sell only 3 million units by the end of the year.

The firm has obviously been caught in the game of Samsung who wants us to directly oppose the Qled technology to the Oled

The IHS Markit report overlooks the fact that the limitation in sales of Oled TV sets is not due to price or technology but to the limited production capacity of LG Display.

Until recently, the South Korean company had only one production plant for Oled 8.5 generation panels, located in Paju. This plant can produce approximately 2.9 million Oled tiles per year.

However, since the end of August LG Display has opened a second factory in China. Based in Guangzhou, this plant - also of the 8.5 generation, but using a new optimized cutting method (MMG) - should double production by 2020, and thus probably double sales of Oled TVs.

The second problematic point is that IHS Markit pits two technologies against each other that are not really competing. It should be remembered that Qled TVs are LCD TVs using a quantum box filter, as do many other manufacturers without using the term Qled (for Quantum-Dot LED).

OLED-QLED

This is the case of Sony with its Triluminos process, or Philips with its Quantum Dot 4K LED TVs. As such, IHS Markit should have included all TVs equipped with a quantum box filter in sales.

The firm has obviously been caught in Samsung's game of pitting Qled technology directly against Oled, whereas Oled TVs are quite apart on the market.

Finally, one might also think that the success of Qled TVs is due to their more affordable prices than those of Oled TVs, but this is not often the case with the recommended retail prices.

Here again, Samsung's strategy is well established and the South Korean manufacturer does not want to display a label too low so as not to devalue its technology against the Oled.

The advertised prices are therefore often equivalent to those of the Oled models, but Samsung is making up for this with interesting promotions. The latest one concerns the Samsung QE55Q85R, an excellent LCD TV that was sold at only €1,500 during the French Days instead of the €2,000 usually asked for.

But a 55-inch Oled TV like the Panasonic 55FZ800, which sold for less than €1,300, is still more interesting.

On the other hand, the most affordable Qled TV, the Samsung QE65Q60R, is certainly much cheaper than an Oled TV, but it doesn't deliver performances worthy of the Samsung Qled name. And in fact, it doesn't do much better than a Samsung UE55RU7405.

There's a war on the high-end TV segment composed mainly of Oled models, a few LCD models (Samsung Q85R, Samsung Q90R, Sony XF9005, Sony XG9505) and a few 8K models (Samsung Q900R, Samsung Q950R, Sony 85ZG9, and LG 88Z9), but there's no Qled vs Oled war!

How Huawei, deprived of Google, is planning his counterattack

Huawei and Google services

Huawei-Google

Huawei has abandoned the idea of getting Google services on its smartphones in the near future. Instead, the Chinese brand is banking on its own awning and preparing a vast communication plan to survive the crisis.

Blacklisted by Donald Trump's government in May 2019, Huawei is going through the biggest crisis in its history. The Chinese brand is unable to work with certain American companies such as Google, which is greatly reducing the number of applications compatible with its Android smartphones.

In recent months, Huawei has somehow lost control of his destiny. It is now impossible for it to market new devices with Google services and, more worryingly, its growth in Europe, which has been very strong in recent years, could come to an abrupt halt in the coming months...

Peace between Huawei and the United States is unlikely

After having waited a long time for a resolution of the conflict, Huawei would now have accepted the inevitable: the American government will not go back on its position.

If the brand continues to assert that it will continue to favor Android, Chinese representatives of the company would argue internally that the chances of finding Google in the next few years are less than 5%.

Over the period 2020-2021, Huawei is, therefore, preparing to live independently of the Americans. The brand is banking on its new "Huawei Mobile Services" to replace "Google Mobile Services" and must, therefore, convince developers and consumers that it is capable of overcoming such a challenge.

Huawei bets on its AppGallery

app-gallery-huawei

Currently, many Android applications are incompatible with the new Huawei smartphones. Since they require Google APIs to work, applications like Snapchat or Netflix cannot run on a device like the Mate 30 Pro.

If Huawei wants to keep it a secret, for now, we can tell you that the brand has partnered with some great developers.

Among them are Snapchat and Netflix, who will soon replace the Google APIs in their applications with Huawei APIs when used on Chinese smartphones. Many other applications will soon be available on the AppGallery, probably at the same time (think of the MWC or the P40 presentation).

Today, the Chinese competitor of the App Store and Play Store offers very few of the applications used by European users, which makes it of little use.

To convince developers to join its AppGallery, Huawei would bet on a strategy similar to that of Microsoft a few years ago, which had tried to accompany developers to port their programs to Windows Phone... without repeating the same mistakes, which led to the slow agony of the Redmond firm's OS.

So, in addition to contacting the big companies itself and offering them help and money, Huawei would play a huge part in its power in China. In exchange for an entry on the AppGallery, it would provide assistance to developers who want to expand their business in the Middle Kingdom.

Developers have a lot to gain from this because the AppGallery has a lot to offer in China. The road ahead is likely to belong, however, especially since some applications, like Google's, will remain excluded from the AppGallery no matter what happens. Can the general public be convinced without Google Maps, Gmail or YouTube?

A huge marketing plan

Marketing-huawei

It doesn't matter: Huawei's upcoming flagships, such as the P40 and Mate Xs, will not be compatible with Google services... And so we'll have to convince the public, even if the applications will take time to land on their platform.

So we've learned that Huawei will soon launch a major marketing campaign to promote the AppGallery.

The company would like to present itself as the only credible alternative to the Apple/Google duopoly. We don't yet know what kind of campaigns Huawei will carry out, but one of our sources reminds us of the incredible financial power of the brand in China: "If it takes a lot of money, they will do it". I expect to hear a lot about AppGallery in 2020.

The other major challenge for Huawei will be the distribution of its new products. At the moment, it's impossible to know whether resellers and operators will agree to market the brand's new high-end smartphones.

Some of them are particularly worried about their customer service, which may be bombarded with questions about installing WhatsApp or Google Maps on their new mobile.

We don't yet know whether Huawei will be able to rely on its partners or whether it will have to rely on its recently launched e-commerce site. Its first physical store will open in Paris in the coming weeks.

However, in the short term, Huawei is not naive. The brand knows that its sales will drop in 2020, even if its catalog of existing Google-compatible products would enable it to limit the damage.

In the long term, the manufacturer imagines that it will come out of this story stronger with a complete ecosystem.

Insurance Car In USA - Reduce The Cost Of Your Car Insurance

Insurance Car In USA - Reduce The Cost Of Your Car Insurance

CAR-insurance-usa

Car insurance can help protect you from expensive, sometimes devastating surprises.

Let's say you're in a covered accident. As an insured driver, you can get help paying medical bills, repairs, certain legal defense costs and more.

 History of insurance

Widespread use of the motor car began after the First World War in urban areas.

Cars were relatively fast and dangerous by that stage, yet there was still no compulsory form of vehicle insurance anywhere in the world.

This meant that injured victims would seldom get any compensation in an accident, and drivers often faced considerable costs for damage to their car and property.

A compulsory car insurance scheme was first introduced in the United Kingdom with the Road Traffic Act 1930.

This ensured that all vehicle owners and drivers had to be insured for their liability for injury or death to third parties whilst their vehicle was being used on a public road.

Germany enacted similar legislation in 1939 called the "Act on the Implementation of Compulsory Insurance for Motor Vehicle Owners.

The regulations for vehicle insurance differ with each of the 50 US states and other territories, with each U.S. state having its own mandatory minimum coverage requirements.

Each of the 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia require drivers to have insurance coverage for both bodily injury and property damage, but the minimum amount of coverage required by law varies by state.

While insurance rates vary significantly by location because of differences in traffic congestion, crime, weather, and state regulations, about two-thirds of American drivers saw their premiums increase last year.

You Really Can Lower Your Car Insurance Cost

After years of increases, car insurance has become a budget pain point for many. But experts say there are ways to keep your rates down.

In some cities and states, the annual cost is much higher than the national average.

Michigan had the highest average rate at more than $3,000, followed by Louisiana and Florida, each topping $2,000.

Maine and North Carolina have the lowest rates, at just under $1,000 a year. While average rates increased in most states, they fell in 17 states and the District of Columbia.

Exactly where you live, down to a few yards, can have a big impact. People living in lower-income ZIP codes were quoted more expensive premiums than those in neighboring communities, a 2018 Consumer Federation of America report found.

Insurers car in the USA, use multiple criteria to set auto rates, including a driver’s age, driving record and typical annual mileage. Criteria vary since state governments set insurance rules.

Some states allow consideration of a person’s credit history — the better your credit score, the more you save — so it helps if you pay your bills on time. Some let insurers car consider a customer’s marital status and occupation.

At least a half-dozen states, including California, have banned the use of a driver’s sex in setting insurance rates.

(Nationally, women pay rates that is about 1 percent higher, The Zebra found, but the disparity is greater in some states.)

Car-Insurance-Companies-In-USA

Other criteria are based on the vehicle, such as the model year and whether it’s a sedan or a truck.

One way to keep premiums down, say industry experts and consumer advocacy groups, is to compare quotes from different insurers, ideally every year or two.

It’s getting more expensive to insure your car, but there are some steps you can take to keep premiums affordable.

Average annual car insurance rates in the USA rose to $1,548 in 2019, according to an analysis by The Zebra, an insurance comparison website.

While that was just a 2 percent increase from 2018 — roughly on a par with the annual inflation rate — it followed several years of larger increases, the report said.

Advanced technology is partly to blame for the higher costs, The Zebra said.

Automakers are incorporating more anti-theft and safety features into their vehicles, like collision warning systems and blind-spot monitors, which make them safer to drive but more expensive to repair after an accident.

Even a minor fender bender can prove costly to fix, said Robert C. Passmore, assistant vice president of the American Property Casualty Insurance Association.

Modern bumpers may house advanced sensors that must be replaced or recalibrated after an accident. Repairs no longer involve just “banging it out with a hammer,” he said.

“They save lives and reduce the number of accidents,” Mr. Passmore said of the new safety systems. “But there are some costs that come with it.”

Insurers are also imposing stiffer penalties, or surcharges, for drivers ticketed for distracted driving.

The average surcharge for texting while driving, for instance, is 23 percent of the premium, or more than $350 a year, the report found. These fees typically last for several years.

One way to keep premiums down, say industry experts and consumer advocacy groups, is to compare quotes from different insurers, ideally every year or two.

“It’s worth a little bit of effort,” said J. Robert Hunter, an insurance expert with the Consumer Federation.

If you find a lower rate, state insurance department websites often offer information about consumer complaints, to help you evaluate a company’s record of handling claims before you switch.

Another way to lower your premium is to increase your policy’s deductible, the amount of money that you must pay before insurance coverage begins.

(With a $500 deductible, you would pay $500 for a $1,000 claim.) Raising your deductible to $1,000 from $500 will save an average of 13 percent on your premium, The Zebra found.

Car-Insurance-In-USA

Just be sure to put money aside so you can afford to pay the deductible if you have a claim, said Jon Linkov, the deputy auto editor at Consumer Reports.

And be careful not to let your policy lapse, said Nicole Beck, a spokeswoman for The Zebra. Even a short gap, she said, could trigger a substantial increase when you buy a new policy.

People who drive infrequently may want to consider usage-based insurance, which uses technology to monitor driving and can save about 3 percent, the report found.

Are some cars more expensive to insure than others?

Yes. Older cars, for instance, are generally cheaper to insure than new cars.

The driver of a three-year-old Honda Accord would save about 12 percent on premiums compared with the cost of insuring a new model, the report found.

If you are shopping for a car and want to keep insurance rates down, consider a gently used, late-model car, Mr. Linkov said.

Am I required to insure my car?

All states except New Hampshire require minimum levels of liability coverage, which pays for another person’s property damage, medical care and other costs caused by you.

Other types of coverage are usually optional (although if you finance a car, your lender may require them).

They include collision coverage, which pays for damage to your car if it hits another car or something else, like a tree or a wall; and comprehensive coverage, which covers damage to your car from most everything else, like fire, hail, flooding, and theft.

If your car is aging and its value has declined substantially, you may want to consider dropping optional coverages, to lower your premium, said Mr. Hunter, the insurance expert.

Are driver discounts available?

In many states, yes, so ask your agent. Insurers may offer discounts for bundling auto coverage with other types of insurance, like homeowners or renter’s policies.

There may be other discounts for having your premium payment automatically deducted from your bank account, or paying the full premium upfront, The Zebra found.

Younger drivers may receive credit for maintaining good grades or taking a driver’s education course.

OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and Lite: specs, release date, features and leaks

OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro and Lite: specs

OnePlus-8

OnePlus 8, the future flagship of OnePlus, will be released in three versions in 2020. A leak on the social network Weibo reveals many technical characteristics of these three models: the OnePlus 8, the 8 Lite and the 8 Pro.

For once, OnePlus is going to offer not two but three new versions of its flagship expected in 2020: the OnePlus 8.

The manufacturer wants to rub shoulders with Xiaomi, Samsung, and Huawei in the mid-range field with the OnePlus 8 Lite, while the OnePlus 8 Pro will attempt to establish itself as one of the best high-end smartphones of 2020.

An initial leak in early October 2019 revealed some technical information about the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, such as the presence of a Snapdragon 865 colter for the former, and a 4500 mAh battery for the latter.

This Tuesday, December 17, 2019, a new leak published on Weibo (the Chinese equivalent of Twitter) reveals many details on the technical specifications of these three smartphones.

The OLED display and MediaTek Dimensity 1000 for OnePlus 8 Lite

OnePlus-8-Pro

So let's start with the most "modest" of the range. The OnePlus 8 Lite is expected to sell for $430 in the 128GB version ($472 in the 256GB version) and its technical characteristics suggest that it will clearly be on the top of the mid-range.

The smartphone would be equipped with a 6.4-inch OLED display with a front punch selfie sensor rather than a notch like the OnePlus 7. With a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, a refresh rate of 90 Hz and Gorilla Glass 5 protective glass, this panel promises to be of excellent quality.

The direct competitor to the Snapdragon 865 is a Mediatek Dimensity 1000. This SoC would come with 8 GB of RAM with 128 or 256 GB of storage space depending on the version.

In terms of photography, the camera would be equipped with a triple rear sensor of 60, 16 and 12 megapixels, without any more details. Finally, the OnePlus 8 Lite would be powered by a 4000 mAh battery via a USB-Type C port and would benefit from a 30W fast charging technology.

A rather generous photo module for the OnePlus 8

The smartphone would be sold slightly more expensive than its Lite counterpart: $472 in an 8GB RAM version and 128GB of storage.

The 12GB RAM and 256GB internal memory model would be offered at $573.

According to the leak, the device would have a slightly larger 6.44-inch screen with the same technical characteristics (resolution, definition and refresh rate).

The only notable difference is the presence of a Gorilla Glass 6 instead of a Gorilla Glass 5.

We already knew that OnePlus 8 would be compatible with 5G and this document confirms it. The smartphone should indeed embark on a Snapdragon 865 SoC with an integrated X55 modem.

In addition, the device should be equipped with a fingerprint sensor on its front panel.

On the photo side, the OnePlus 8 could benefit from the same photo package as the OnePlus 8 Lite, with one difference: the presence of a 32 MP front sensor.

The OnePlus 8 would benefit from a 4000 mAh battery with the same 30W fast charging technology.

OnePlus 8 Pro

OnePlus-8-Pro-Lite

Just as OnePlus 8 is an enhancement of OnePlus 8 Lite, this OnePlus 8 Pro is an enhanced version of OnePlus 8.

Let's start with pricing, this high-end model would be sold in three distinct versions :

8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory for $645.

8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory for 716$.

12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal memory for 788$.

As for the display, the OnePlus 8 Pro would be equipped with a 6.7-inch OLED panel in 3180 x 1440 pixel resolution, with a 120 Hz refresh rate like the Asus ROG Phone 2 or the Samsung Galaxy S11 (this remains to be confirmed).

Previous rumors had evoked the presence of a dual selfie sensor in the style of the Galaxy S10+, this dual sensor would be composed of a 32 MP lens and a TOF sensor, it could be used for a facial recognition system.

Let's continue on the photo part with the triple rear sensor of 60, 16 and 13 megapixels. The smartphone would be equipped with 10x hybrid zoom.

Concerning the power supply, surprisingly, the OnePlus 8 Pro would have two 2,250 mAh batteries, for a total capacity of 4500 mAh.

Finally, it would take advantage of the 50W Super Warp Charge Tech fast charging technology.

So much for this overview of the different features of the three OnePlus 8s. We would like to point out that this information has not been confirmed by the manufacturer and must, therefore, be taken with caution.

As for the release date of all these products, it is likely that we will see them launched in May 2020.

OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 6 both landed in May and OnePlus 5 landed in June. It is also possible that we will see OnePlus 8 land as early as April 2020 to put more space between it and the launch of the inevitable OnePlus 8T in the fall.

Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G the real pictures and video

Galaxy S20+: discover the first stolen pictures

Galaxy-S20-pictures

The Galaxy S20+ (Galaxy S11+) continues to unveil itself. A few weeks before the official unveiling, a renowned leaker released the first stolen pictures of the smartphone.

This new leak confirms the flagship design, its name and the presence of 5G connectivity on all models.

In partnership with XDA Developers, Leaker Max Weinbach has released the first real-world photos of the 5G compatible Galaxy S20+.

Unsurprisingly, the smartphone is covered by an Infinity-O screen marked with a punch in the manner of Galaxy Note 10.

According to the leaker, the screen is flatter than that of the Galaxy S10. The edges around the panel are particularly thin. However, the bottom edge is still slightly thicker than the other edges.

On the back, there is a quadruple photosensor with an LED flash in the shape of a rectangle.

A small recess suggests that Samsung would integrate a microphone next to the camera. In the last news, this variant would not be equipped with the 108 Mp photo sensor teased in recent months.

This module would finally be reserved for the Ultra declination. Instead, the Galaxy S20+ would rely on a 12 MP photosensor, says XDA Developers.

Finally, we note the absence of the physical button to call Bixby, the home voice assistant developed by Samsung. The third photo published by Max Weinbach finally confirms the name of the range: Galaxy S20 instead of Galaxy S11.

Samsung to launch 5 variants of Galaxy S20

In a later tweet, Max Weinbach reveals the list of the 5 variants that will be marketed this year. Unsurprisingly, Samsung will offer all models in 4G or 5G versions. Only the Galaxy S20 Ultra will only be available in a 5G version.

As a reminder, Samsung will present the Galaxy S20 along with the Galaxy Fold 2 at a conference in Francisco on February 11th, just a few days before the opening of the MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona. We'll tell you more as soon as possible.
